DraftKings on Wednesday launched a brand-new method for its Oregon clients to play, allowing wagers on the outcomes of historic baseball games with DK Replay.

- The experience is effectively micro-betting, only with confidential recognized results.

- Customers will just understand the skill level of pitchers and batters, not their identities.

- DraftKings is approaching integrating almost all of its item offerings into one "super app."

DraftKings' new innovation brings the continuous action of micro-betting out of the live context and applies it to historic matches across the league.

DK Replay is available only for Oregon sports wagering customers. Users can access the function by the current variation of the DraftKings mobile wagering app, which is the only authorized online betting platform in the state.

"DK Replay provides a new experience for our clients, enabling them to tap into the enjoyment of pitch-by-pitch betting in a special historic environment," DraftKings chief item officer Corey Gottlieb said in a statement. "With DK Replay, we have the ability to provide an experience that will allow consumers to enjoy their preferred sports no matter the time of year."

DK Replay Users will be presented with a totally random and anonymous pitcher-versus-batter matchup. Players will be ranked bronze, silver, or gold based upon their stats from the game the plate appearance was drawn. That includes batting average, slugging portion, ERA, and strikeouts.

Users are given an allocated quantity of time to pick if they believe the next pitch will be a ball/HBP (struck by pitch), strike/foul, or put in play. Each outcome will have corresponding odds, causing various possible payments based on the pitch count and the rankings of the batter and pitcher.

The result of a pitch will be exposed once the user's bet is put or the pitch clock ends. The complete information of the plate appearance will be revealed once it is finished, or a user does not put any more wagers.

New ways to experience gaming

DraftKings validated it is looking to add the brand-new Replay feature to more states, pending regulative approval.

While wagering on old baseball games is brand-new to the sports wagering industry, it makes use of the framework of historic horse race betting. "Instant racing" is a kind of wagering that involves electronic video gaming devices comparable to slot makers that anonymize previous races and allow consumers to predict which horse will win.

Hard Rock Bet made use of the design in 2015, introducing "Real Money Games powered by Past Motor Racing" in Florida in October. The function enables clients to play video games comparable to slot makers that were linked to previous NASCAR races.
