About Accommodation
Good Day Guys,
Only if you really think about wine tasting tours?! We have more detailed information about wine tasting tours
There’s something about Blue Mountains National Park that stays under your skin. Perhaps it’s the gum trees releasing that blue mist over the valleys, or the sandstone walls lighting up at dusk while the cockatoos call out across the valley. Whatever the reason, every time I head west from Sydney Harbour, I’m reminded why this World Heritage Listed National Park is one of Australia’s most beautiful landscapes.
I’ve been guiding travellers through this region — from the iconic Three Sisters at Echo Point to the Megalong Valley and the limestone caves of Jenolan — and believe me, the Blue Mountains are more than a day trip. They’re a deep-breathing antidote to city life, a vast amphitheatre of rock walls, rain mists and forest fragrance.
Only an hour and a half west of Sydney by road, the Blue Mountains National Park is part of the UNESCO-listed Greater Blue Mountains region, a conservation area spanning more than a million hectares that extends as far as Wollemi National Park. It’s a patchwork of steep gorges, rainforests and eucalypt forests home to over 400 species of Australian animals, including curious wallabies, shy dingoes and the famous lyrebird.
